What We Are Learning in February:
Reading- We are reading Traditional Literature. Students will be analyzing myths, tall tales, legends, and folk tales.
Writing- Do you think chocolate milk should be served in schools? Should plastic water bottles be banned? Should kids exercise more? We'll be researching debatable issues and writing research based argument essays.
Math- We'll learn how to add and subtract fractions using picture models and computations.
Science- How is energy transferred in systems around us? We'll study light, sound, electricity, magnetism, and other forms of energy.
Social Studies- In social studies, we are moving from early settlements and claims in the new world to colonial life under English rule.
